Terms of Service
Effective October 8, 2026. These cover the VidForAll apps for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro, the website at vidforall.com, and VidForAll Pro.
The short version
- VidForAll plays your own videos and pictures from wherever they are. They stay yours, and we never upload them.
- VidForAll Pro is a yearly subscription with a free trial, or a one-time purchase for good. The price is shown before you pay.
- Cancel any time. Cancel during a free trial and you aren’t charged. Cancel a subscription and Pro stays until the end of the year you’ve paid for.
- Refunds: bought on vidforall.com and not happy? Ask within 14 days of a charge and we’ll refund it. App Store purchases are refunded through Apple.
Agreeing to these terms
By using VidForAll, making a VidForAll account or buying VidForAll Pro, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use VidForAll. You need to be old enough to agree to a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.
The app and your account
VidForAll is free to download and use, and much of it stays free: playing every format up to 4K, film and show details, folders on your device, Apple Photos, and searching by name.
A VidForAll account is optional. It keeps your devices in step and carries VidForAll Pro bought on vidforall.com to every device you log in on. Keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens with your account, and you can delete it at any time, in the app (Settings › Account) or on your account page.
VidForAll Pro
Pro adds your NAS, media servers and cloud storage; People, Search by Picture and the words in your pictures; your devices kept in step, Hidden, 8K, and Dolby and DTS surround. The list in the app’s Settings is the current one.
Pro comes two ways:
- A subscription, billed once a year, with a free trial for new subscribers.
- Pro for good, paid once, with nothing further to pay.
You can buy Pro in the App Store apps, through Apple, or on vidforall.com by card. Card payments are taken and kept by our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your card number. The price, and any tax, is shown before you pay. Pro bought on vidforall.com goes with your VidForAll account. Pro bought in the App Store goes with your Apple Account, and also with your VidForAll account while you’re logged in to it in the app; one App Store purchase covers one VidForAll account at a time.
Trials, renewals and cancelling
- Free trial. A subscription starts with a free trial, once per account. We email you a few days before it ends. If you cancel before the trial ends, you aren’t charged. If you don’t, your card is charged for the first year when the trial ends.
- Renewing. A subscription renews each year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. If the price is going to change, we’ll tell you before the renewal at the new price.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time: on vidforall.com under Your Account › Manage Billing, or in your Apple Account’s subscriptions for App Store purchases. Pro then stays until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and nothing more is charged.
- A card that doesn’t go through. If a renewal fails, we’ll try again over the next few days and email you. If it can’t be charged, the subscription ends.
Refunds
- Bought on vidforall.com: if you’re not happy, email us within 14 days of any charge, whether a first payment, a renewal or Pro for good, and we’ll refund it in full. Pro ends with the refund. After 14 days, charges aren’t refunded, but you can cancel so nothing more is charged.
- Bought in the App Store: Apple handles payments and refunds. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Nothing here limits any right to a refund you have under the law where you live.
Bought in the App Store
Purchases in the App Store apps are also covered by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement and Apple’s Media Services Terms. Apple isn’t responsible for VidForAll or for supporting it.
Your videos and pictures
What you play in VidForAll is yours, and stays where you keep it. We don’t claim any rights to it, and we never upload it. You’re responsible for having the right to the videos and pictures you use VidForAll with.
Using VidForAll fairly
Please don’t misuse VidForAll or vidforall.com. That means no attacking or overloading our servers, getting around Pro or other limits, scraping our services, reselling access, or using VidForAll to break the law or anyone else’s rights.
Other services
VidForAll works with services run by others, such as Apple, Google Drive, Plex, Jellyfin, TMDB and YouTube. Your use of them is under their own terms. We aren’t responsible for them, and a service changing or stopping may change what VidForAll can do with it.
Changes to VidForAll and these terms
VidForAll keeps changing: features are added, and now and then changed or removed. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll post the new version here with a new date and say so in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you don’t agree to new terms, you can cancel and stop using VidForAll.
No warranty, and limits
We work hard to make VidForAll reliable, but it’s provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for Pro in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Ending
You can stop using VidForAll and delete your account at any time. If an account breaks these terms, we may suspend or close it. If we close it without a good reason under these terms, we’ll refund any Pro you’ve paid us for and not yet used.
